Frequently Asked Questions
I want to book an appointment, where do I start?
We are so excited to meet you! We provide easy online scheduling through our website here.
I don't know what treatments I need, what service should I schedule?
Because we offer a wide variety of services that we customize to your specific needs we prefer that new patients schedule a complimentary consultation for their first visit. During this visit you will have the opportunity to discuss your concerns and aesthetic goals with our Nurse Practitioner, Nyeree, who can also answer all your questions regarding treatments and products. Nyeree will then be able to make recommendations and give you the best treatment options based on your specific needs.
What do I need to do before my appointment?
Prior to your appointment we request that you set up your patient portal and fill out your medical history as this information will help Nurse Practitioner Nyeree with making the best treatment decisions for you.
In your portal you will also find the questionnaires and/or consents related to your treatment. Please be sure to fill these out prior to your appointment as this will help expedite the check in process so as not to take time away from your scheduled appointment.
What is your cancellation policy?
As a courtesy to our providers and our other patients we request that you please cancel or reschedule your appointment at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled time. This can be done any time through your patient portal. You will receive an email and text reminder 48 hours prior to your appointment to prompt you in case you do need to reschedule.
We understand things may come up that prevent you from making your appointment so we do our best to accommodate schedule changes. By giving us 48 hours notice you can avoid the non-refundable cancellation fee of $100. We recognize all of our patient’s time is valuable, as is ours. We value you as a patient and thank you for respecting our scheduling policies.
How much Dysport/Botox or dermal filler will I need?
The amount of product that is needed will vary with each individual based on many factors including: age, skin type, depth of lines or amount of volume loss, and amount of muscle movement. Rest assured we don’t do cookie cutter treatments for our patients, and we will discuss recommended dosages at your visit. Every person is unique in their beauty and our goal is to enhance your personal beauty and let it shine.
How often are injectable treatments done?
Dysport/Botox last around 3 months on average. Dermal fillers can range anywhere from several months up to a year. (Fun fact: dermal fillers stimulate collagen production, so we find that many patient’s fillers will last a little longer with repeat treatments). Please keep in mind, duration does vary based on dosage and how your body metabolizes the product.
What is the downtime for dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers are considered non-invasive with minimal downtime. It is important to remember, any time a needle is used on the skin there is the risk for bruising and swelling. Nurse Practitioner Nyeree will always do her best to prevent this from happening but there are never any guarantees. For this reason we always recommend getting injectables done at least 2-4 weeks prior to any major events or special occasions to allow for healing time and for the product to settle in.
Does it hurt??
We’re not going to lie, when a needle punctures the skin you are most likely going to feel it. That being said, we do take measures to reduce any discomfort during treatments. We offer several distraction techniques to reduce discomfort (They work! Ask our other patients). For dermal fillers we provide a topical numbing cream that is to be applied 30 minutes prior to treatment and Nurse Practitioner Nyeree will utilize smaller needles where appropriate. Lastly, all of our dermal fillers contain lidocaine so as to increase your comfort level during your treatment. All of these methods combined make for a quick and comfortable treatment with minimal discomfort.
Can I workout after my treatment?
We love working out too! It is recommended that you avoid strenuous exercise or activities for the first 24-48 hours after treatment with injectables to encourage healing and to prevent further swelling and/or bruising.
How long before I see results?
It can take a few days for Dysport/Botox to begin to take effect, with full effect being reached at 14 days. With dermal fillers the results are immediate, however, your “final” results may take several weeks as the swelling goes down and the filler settles in. Nurse Practitioner Nyeree does require a two week follow up for all new patients and dermal filler patients. This will allow Nyeree to assess how everything looks and feels for you and to ensure the results meet her high standards.
“I’ve seen Nyeree for Botox and recently I had her do fillers in my lips and the marionette lines on my face. I just turned 60 and in looking at a side-by-side picture from when I turned 50 I don’t look like like I’ve aged at all. It looks very natural and doesn’t look like I’ve had work done. Nyeree is very professional and makes you feel very comfortable during the procedure. I’m very happy!.”
